90-Day Product Protection
Peace of mind is priceless!
Now your purchases are protected. Simply use your card to make a retail
purchase and we'll cover it against loss, theft, or damage within 90 days of the
purchase. Claims are easily and conveniently filed by calling a toll-free
number within 45 days of the incident.
What items qualify?
Virtually all new, non-commercial, retail items purchased in
full with your card qualify for coverage. Please see Program
Exclusions* for a full list of what is not covered under the program.
Do I have to register purchases?
No. You are automatically enrolled whenever your card is
used for qualifying purchases. No registration forms are
necessary.
How do I claim lost, stolen, or damaged
items?
To file a claim, follow these simple steps:
-
Report the incident by calling
toll free,
(800) 937–4639, within 45 days of the loss or damage. Our customer service
representatives will send you a Loss/Damage Form.
-
Complete and return the form within 90 days of the loss or
damage, along with the requested documentation such as the card receipt indicating the entire purchase was made with an eligible
account, your itemized sales receipt, and applicable police and insurance
reports.
-
If additional information is requested,
provide it within six months of the date of loss.
How do damaged items get repaired or replaced?
If an item is repairable, you may be referred to an
authorized service center. We reserve the right to replace the item, or
substitute a cash payment, not to exceed the total original purchase price of
the item as recorded on the receipt.
If a claim is settled by cash or replacement, the damaged
item becomes the property of 90-Day Product Protection. You may be asked to send
the damaged item (at your expense) to an address that we designate.
Do I need to file with
my own insurance
company?
Yes. This program pays in excess of all other applicable
coverage. Your insurance company must verify in writing whether the
item is covered under the member’s insurance policy. The same applies to any
other warranties, indemnity policies, or other coverages. If the item is
covered your expenses not covered by
insurance, such as insurance deductibles up to the original purchase price of the
item will be paid. All insurance and/or applicable policies must be exhausted before a claim
may be honored.
Is there a
limit to the number of claims I can file?
No. There is no limit to the number of claims you can
file. However, each claim is subject to a $1,000 payment limit per occurrence
and each account has a $50,000 annual payment limit.
Are the Programs fully insured?
The program is fully insured by a Master Policy issued by
Virginia Surety Company. Virginia Surety is rated “A+” Superior by A.M. Best
and Company and has assets in excess of $900 million. Additionally, the
combined assets of Aon back Virginia Surety, which exceed $18 billion. A fully
insured program provides you and your program members with the financial
security essential to long term customer satisfaction.
